Gothic themed weddings are becoming more and more popular but this story shocked me. Supermodels are known to have the ‘fairtale wedding’ with the whole hoint covered in white and glitter but now it seems that the gothic wedding trend has reach the likes of Kate Moss.

There have been rumours circulating that Kate has asked her designer friend to make her a purple or black full-skirted gown trimmed with vintage rock ‘n’ roll charms. She has also allegedly asked artists Dinos and Jake Chapman to create centre pieces for the wedding. For thoses of you that havent heard of them, they are best known for creating works with the main themes being sex, disfigurement and death. All seems very unusual for the supermodel crowd. The wedding is set to take place in september so im sure we will be seeing the pictures over the internet shortly after.

The whitby Gothic weekend has been running since 1994 and is a well esablished gothic event comprising of gothic bands and other Gothic Themed activities. The official weekend runs in April and October every year with the next even running the 28th – 31st of October which is over the Halloween Weekend. Confirmed bands for this year include: Wayne Hussey, Manuskript, The Stripper Project and other bands which are due to be confirmed nearere to the time.  Tickets can be bought from the Whitby Gothic Weekend Website and other resellers on the internet. As well as the Whitby Gothic Weekend Festival there are many other regular gothic events all over the country which are listed here. There are bound to be some near you and are set to be huge events  for all People interested in the Gothic Culture.

Arcania: Gothic 4 is the fourth installment of the Arcania series and has been a bit of a mystery for fans. There has been a lot of secrecy surrounding the game and its content. The original release dat for the game was supposed to have been late last year but the campany that are making th game, JoWood Entertainment have said that it is now to be released October the 12th this year. They say this is to give the company more time to ‘polish’ the game which im sure is very exciting for all gothic gaming fans. Wikipedia describes the game: ‘Ten years have passed since the end of Gothic 3 and the world has changed – the Southern Islands have become embroiled in conflict, and set the stage for the player to brave countless adventures in the guise of a nameless hero. Decisions will have to be made which will change not only the future of the Southern Islands, but of the entire world. Old acquaintances and new faces will aid the hero or attempt to thwart his efforts throughout his journey.^‘

 Looking at the games official website the graphics look astounding but apart from that there is not much else that you can find out about it. The Third installment of the game, Gothic III has been given a four star review by most companies and critics so im sure the new game will be even better and we look forward to seeing the outcome.

For all of you lovers of the Gothic, Fantasy Novels Twilight you are sure to love the latest release of the amazing author Stephenie Meyer, The short Second Life Of Bree Tanner. The book is part of the astounding Twlight Saga and is linked mainly with Eclispe although this time the main character is Bree Tanner. The story is written from Bree’s point of view and is about Bree, a young newborn who has been a vampire for only three months and a group of other newborn Vampires who have been made as part of an army that have been bred to kill Bella Swan and the Cullens. The book was released in June and is already a massive hit  much like other books within the Twilight Saga. Gothic Band evanescence have been working on their much anticipated new album from the start of this year. After their huge success with ‘Fallen’ (2003) And ‘The Open Door’ (2006) the band became more a more popular all over the world and became loved by people loving all music genres. After their first two albums the band took a break for a couple of years and came across problems with ever changing band members. Despite this they have worked hard on producing their third album, Amy Lee from the band has said “I don’t see the point in making the same record twice, so I always want to challenge myself to make something better, stronger, and more interesting than before. That takes time, but it’s worth the wait for me. Hopefully, it will be for the fans too. Look out for new music [in 2010].” So even though the Album has taken a while to produce and has kept fans hanging for months on end it is sure to be a show stopper.

The recently launched X-Box 360 & PS3 Game Bayonetta is a gothic themed game that has been given outstanding reviews by critics and has already flown off the shelves. The main character of the gameis Bayonetta who wakes up from a five hundred year sleep and sets upon finding the answers of her past, although she comes across some obstacles throughout her journey.  The epic adventure has been given a four star rating by game and is sure to please all, for the full review click here.
